View Full Version : Pollywog's cast point slower than Magmus' stun + ult?

I was wondering if anyone else has seen this issue but I was playing a pollywog versus a magmus and I noticed that my disables weren't activating quick enough after the stun to break his ult's channel. A few times it was a very clean scenario. We were both alone, he stunned me and started channeling, I had all my disables up and I queued my morph skill on him. I believe in dota, the morph skill had a faster cast point than magical bindings. But in any case, the ult went off regardless of what I did.
I'd appreciate it if someone could replicate this and confirm that pollywog cannot disable magmus fast enough after his stun.

It's like this with almost every hero...
Either you don't get hit by the stun or you're ****ed.

I'm quite sure that thunderbringer use his ministun either.

Almost, but not every, you can use tempest ult/tree ult, and many others to cancel.

If you aren't facing DIRECTLY towards him and have a near instant stun you're not stopping it.

Which is why Magmus is picked retardedly often and is imba ATM; the ultimate is supposed to be stoppable which it isn't. It's balanced by the fact that you can interrupt it yet at the moment you can't...

hmm i havn't played sk in a long long time, but i don't think you can stop the spell from doing damage once the channeling is done
it only stops dealing dmg once the duration ends? correct me if i'm wrong, i havn't picked magmus yet either

yes, but if you stun him while he's channeling then he does no damage at all and it wastes his mana and cooldown.
which is what the thread is addressing.

Behemoth's skills are all great at stopping it.
-Fissure if you're far away
-Enrage to trigger heavyweight
-Heavyweight for instant stomp stun
-Port key + shockwave or shockwave alone if there's enough enemy units around for it to be worthwhile
i really didn't need to make that list but w/e

Turn rate makes this game a pain.
