Old hero-selection sound

Earlier someday a long time ago I was looking around in the Customizations forum and noticed that [BS4]MAGZine (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/member.php?u=268600) had uploaded (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=132734&highlight=hero+select) the hero-selection sound that Pandamodium had when he was released,
which IMO is much more enjoyable that the current one.
I also had a vague memeory of other heros that had a special hero-selection sound that were morr amuseing compared to the what other heroes had,
after some searhing in the forum and only finding an alternative one for Sand Wraith ([BS4]MAGZine (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/member.php?u=268600) had uploaded that one to) I decided to scavage the HoN folder,
and after some searching I finaly found a total of 5 heroes that have had their selection tune changed.
Then I used all my current skills and made a, although very simple, mod with them.
The heroes that I found alterative hero-announcements to were Sand Wraith, Witch Slayer, Deadwood, Chipper and Pandamodium.
I combined all of these sounds into one mod, and wasen't able to find a similar one on the forums and thought that other ppl than me would enjoy this mod,so I decided to upload it.


To summarize, this mod gives :chip:, :dead:, :sand:, :witc:, :doct:, :glad:, :tund:, :bubb:, :pand:, :gaun:, :bomb: and :emph: the hero announcement sound they had when they were origianly implimented into the game.
Link to mod (http://www.mediafire.com/?kf11uagcevim7kl) (.honmod). It should not work together with other mods that modify the announcing sound for these specifiy heroes.

If there is any other hero that have had their announcement changed please tell me and I'm gonna do my best do add it into this mod.
Also, this is my first mod so if you have any problems with it tell it and I'll try to fix it.

You don't know how long it took to download that old copy of Heroes of newerth to get Panda's/sand's sound (it was a terribly slow download). Very worth it, though. The 'fun' hero selection sounds are awesome.

Hehe, by the way I found a much easier way to get out-patched files than downloading the game again, in the HoN installation folder there should be a folder named compat, and in it is a .S2Z file with the same name.
That file contains most things they have patched away (including all of the picking sounds) and they have even categorized it every patch induvidualy, just so you know in case you ever get the urge to do something like tihs in the future :)

First off, if you mod something it ONLY happens to YOUR game, so if you mod your the model on :keep: i.e only :keep: in YOUR game will change, while :keep: will look like normal for other ppl even if they are in the same game as you.

If you want to move the sound effect out of the compat folder just copy them out or you can highlight the files you want, press "Extra to" in top left corner and chose where you want it to be

Working on it, altough I recently formated my PC so I'll have to recreate the whole mod, and the way I used to get the sounds doesn't seem to work so I'll see what I can do

It fixed itself, luckily, downloaded it to keep a copy ready if this ever happends again, and I actualy tried my best to recreate it but it was dammned hard without the files I hade before I cleaned my disk :p

For those curious: Open the mod up in WinRAR or something and delete the folders you don't want. Then open up the mod .xml in an editor and delete the corresponding lines.

Edit:
I just browsed through the mod, the path is wrong, it tries to replace the sound in a hero folder called "diva" however S2 renamed it to "Rhapsody" which is why this mod doesn't work anymore.
You have to change the path in the .xml file and the folder names to their correct names to make it work again.

Yes, entities are saved in a file but I didn't find .ogg / wav files there.
By using thelis tool I'd be able to get the sound files quickly if someone tells me the version.
