I added many new icons and updated the pdf.

Those are really good. Colors are slightly off for the HoN logo and legion/hellbourne but that might be what you were going for anyways.

Thanks for your comment. I tried to mimic the original icons as much as possible but this is really hard to be 100% accurate, even more as it is vector.

I forgot to say that they are free to use by HoN modders. I hope UI modders will use them to make cool mods ;) I sent a message to Sephinator asking him if he could use them for his QuickStats Mod.

I edited may icons, changing the background colours. I also uploaded 64x64 versions of them on my site.

In my opinion the icon's don't match the HoN style at all, they are 'cartoony'/'iconic'.
I know I'm not making much sense, but there's so connection to HoN at all for me, when looking at these icons.
Also 'at first sight' for most of the icons I have no idea what it stands for.
(of course this can be because they're new/unknown icons and I'm not used to them)

I think they fit. When you look at icons such as http://pogs.free.fr/HoN/Icons/Ref/
They are iconic because they are intended to be displayed really small (24x24). The tinier they are the more iconic they need to be. You can clearly see that large icons are not graphically treated the same way in HoN. Mine are designed to be small.
Regarding the meaning, You see no connection to HoN. Tell me what you think about this S2Games one :

Is it really fitting HoN universe ? No. Cause it does not have to. Because this icon is used outside the game. In the Lobby, the Server Browser, etc... which are not part of the Newerth universe. You can't tell the first time it means No leaver, right ? This is not important. The important thing is to identify it in a glance thus be able to detect his meaning later. Though detecting in a glance the meaning of an icon is clearly a plus, it is not mandatory. Tooltips are made to explain them. Can you tell me which icons you do not understand ? I tried to be explicit with my icons but it is hard to find graphics that represent complex concepts.

You can't use them as such. they need tobe coded into a mod ;)

What do you want to say us using the eagle of the german flag for the icon of required level? :confused:

I want to say nothing. Eagles are the masters of the sky and by extension represent power and highness. As levels give you power, I thought that would fit. Eagles are used throughout history to represent empires. Roman used it, German and Americans do.

Sephinator will use them his QuickStat Mod.

Speaking about icons, when I was making my own hero some icons seem to show up and others only show up as black/white checkerboards.

Any explanations on why this happens? Not too much of a big deal, just annoying :P
