Probably stopping when you are chasing a hero and they go uphill and you lose vision.

Which, to be honest, is utterly retarded and should be fixed. Bloody tired of constantly having to babysit my hero, watching is it running where it should be...

one more thing i set him many times to run to the well and he was stopping on the way ... pretty lame when i had less thatn 10%hp and no legionnare or smth nearby ...
i think it's a bug ...

Happened to me, too. Must be a problem with pathfinding algorithm because once my hero (bottom lane, between the outpost and the Legion tower) headed down to the forest instead of going to the well as ordered. Kind of weird.

You're tired of having to order the one single unit that you will ever command in the entire game to move where you want it to, and to pay attention that it does.

What?

Do you want the game to telepathically read your mind and cast your spells for you too while you're at it?

The pathing might not be the greatest, but I'm almost certain that most of the time when people have one of these complaints, the real problem is that they fail to realize that the AI takes into account the shortest path, not the smartest one that helps you avoid the gank you just juked. These are your problems, not the game's.

It's been happening since the updates. There have been rumors that people have been trying to use their hacks/cheats and the anti-cheat system lags up the server trying to stop them.

Regardless of what it is...a few people in the game get it as well not just one hero. They cannot click move or anything the heroes basically turn on brain dead mode and are on the stop position.

Its more the fact that when i right click and the guy that ive told to move doesnt move. Its not that i want it to telepathically read my mind, i just want it to go where ive physically told it to go. Kinda the opposite to what you pointed out.

That's interesting. So the problem is that the hero is unresponsive? In that case, I don't think this is even a pathing problem anymore. Also, I don't think I've had that sort of issue in any of my games.

I've never had a problem with my hero not going to the place I commanded it to.
Only problems I've had are
1. If my hero were to run into a creep going the opposite direction, there are times where my hero would have a concussion and continue shifting until given another command.
2. I would lag and get a "spike" where everything else is responsive and you can see other players casting and moving perfectly. My hero won't listen to a single command until the lag has stopped.

I've had some pretty weird things happen. As Dark Lady, I've been ganked and I'd try to cast Charging Strikes as soon as their stuns/silences are over, but instead, Dark Blades would cast and my hero would be unresponsive until death.

I think I just experienced the problem you guys are talking about. I gave Valkyrie an order to move back to the fountain from the bottom river and she just kind of stood there dumbfounded.

The pathing in this game is terrible you will randomly stop for no apparent reason and get easily trapped in creeps when you should not. There is almost no LOS anywhere you can see just about anywhere at anytime near not mention your vision in this game is much larger then it is dota.

I only see problem when you go to your lane and click on a enemy creep on the field or probably on minimap too, your hero stops moving when that unit dies. I had no other moving issues

unit collision size is either larger in HoN or calculated differently... this messes things up when you're say... chasing through a narrow bunch of trees and you click beyond the hero you're chasing, your hero turns around because it cant path through the enemy.

It might not have anything to do with fog by these comments.

I was so sure I was moving to aid my allies then I realised I wasnt moving.

this! and it sucks -_- Happens to much at the legion secret shop :(

also, even if I spamclick towards my base, the hero sometimes turns around and attack the one thats chasing me for a few seconds, and not running (liek scout after me) :(

Happens to me quite frequently, aswell as my hero attacking creeps then when I tell it to move it just keeps on going for like 4 seconds then decides to finally do as told. This has caused many deaths and is very frustrating. It seems like lag, but everything around me is working fine and players throwing skills at me do that without latency (though the chat server likes to disconnect occasionally). When I ask around others barely have the issues and it's weird.

If you are legion, this might be you you and yourself clicking the top right corner on the minimap, which makes you stop, and run towards the enemy which is utterly annoying!!!!

Solution: Make the minimap smaller!!

heroes shouldnt stop just cuz you lost vision, i still want them to go there, they should at least go to the last place you saw the enemy, thats the way it works in warcraft

and for those that say its more skillful that way, thats a load of crap
thats like adding superficial limits to the game just to make it require more skill
why dont you amputate your arms so you can play with your feet?

Yeah, I've had this happen to me a few times! Seems to stop when I least expect it/want it to >.< Not sure what the issue is, but it should be looked into.

HoN's pathing for chasing heroes that escape vision is exactly the same as in DotA.

I notice if I click to move and nothing happens is it's because there is no path to reach the destination (such as getting trapped by Behemoth's fissure) where in DotA the hero would move to the closest position to the destination, at least, and continually try to repath until given a new command.

no, you dont stop in warcraft just cuz the enemy went into the fog, you still run to the last place you clicked and saw him at, try it
