Accursed's shield

Just something I noticed since Abby was one my favorite heroes in DotA and I'm having fun playing Accursed in HoN too. Accursed's shield (Aphotic Shield in DotA) doesn't seem to dispel all stuns. The only one I'm aware of right now is Hammerstorm's Storm Bolt ability. Shield definitely doesn't dispel the stun effect, and since it's a typical stun I'm wondering if this is a bug or if it was intended.

I don't think the shield dispells stuns... but it does dispell most status effects.

I think it should dispell any debuff that electrican's purge ability does...

Shield dispels debuffs, including stuns. The only debuff it doesn't remove is Cursed Ground (but it still absorbs as much of the damage as it can from Cursed Ground) AFAIK

@OP: Do you have a game ID for when this happened? It should dispel Hammerstorm's stun

Same could be said with Cleansing Purge, it doesnt remove certain stuns, Valkyrie's Javelin of Light i know for certain.

Also, Shield is not supposed to remove Doom, should he ever be ported.

Cleansing Shock doesn't remove stuns and wasn't intended to

Sorry for the late response. I don't have an ID for the game, but I can confirm that it definitely does not dispel Hammerstorm's stun. I've played another game with Accursed against him and nothing changed. Also, it doesn't remove Valkyrie's stun either.

I played Accursed around every 1/5 games. I'll try to compile a list of debuffs that shield doesn't remove and report back.

I'd say it's because the shield removes debuff. Hammerstorm and potm stuns doesn't applies a debuff on the enemy, while morph and chain (of pollywog) does, same with electrician's grip, and others. The same applies with Purge, it removes debuff, while the above stuns doens't appky any debuff.

agreed, abba shield should be as it is in dota, everything else is just bad : (

I've seen stuns removed before, but I can't remember which ones (yes they were stuns, not other disables). Perhaps I'll test this again later on
