Bard Unitframes
Well nothing much to say... new unitframes :P

Sorry for the poor screenshot, I'll try and get a better one :P
You can cycle between no unitframes, standard unitframes and bard unitframes by pressing U (hope noone of you binded that to something :P) or by clicking the usual show/hide unitframes button.
The bars under the skill icon are the level of the skill.
The colors of the bars and the semi-transparent overlays of the skill are like this: (the same as the little dots in the standard unitframes)
- grey (and no bar of course): hero doesn't have that skill
- lime (light green, and no overlay): skill is ready, hero as enough mana
- blue: hero doesn't have mana to cast the skill
- orange: hero has mana to cast the skill but it is in cooldown (notice that if the skill is in cooldown and the hero doesn't have enough mana the color will be blue and the cooldown timer will still show)
- red: hero is silenced or stunned
Also skills SHOULD go all grey when hero is dead.
Feel free to report any bug, suggestions, missing stuff and whatever.
Especially regarding alignment and stuff like that since I built and tested all this for a widescreen monitor (24" 1920*1200) and I have no clue how it will behave on a 4:3. Should be fine, but if it's not, please report it (possibly with a screenshot :P)

- add tooltips on mouseover on the skill icons (in a far away future :P)
- buff-bars instead of icons with a depleting border (another addon I'll work on next)

Installation
To install, download this file (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?2cynmnzndin) into the games folder game/ folder. The default locations for these are:
Linux: /home/<username>/HoN/game/
Windows 7: C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game\
Windows Vista: C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game\
Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game\
Mac:
1. Press Finder
2. Press Applications
3. Right click 'Heroes of Newerth', and press Show containing files
4. Open Game folder
5. Move file here

Edit: actually I just did :P Reuploaded as stand-alone with the correct number, also uploaded again the pack with number 901 so it shouldn't have filename issues with other addons

1. I'll check this, doesn't do that to me, but I noticed that sometimes the "onload" events don't trigger properly, maybe it's related. SHOULD stay fixed anyway after the first time you use it, even if you reboot the game.

Yeah but it could still be just a little bit wider, not a ton.
For the 'level' bar that grows for each level. Is it possible to have it appear sectioned off?

Also, could passive abilities just have no overlay at all? The dark green works for the dot style but not as well for this
I guess that when I have some free time I want to waste on photoshop I'll fix all that stuff (positions, bars not being centered, splits in the bars, etc)
The texture for the bars were made in a bit of a hurry, especially the alpha, since I just wanted to have them working.
If you pay attention the skills aren't at the same distance between them and the size of the "squares" for the skills icons are slightly different too. Centering and doing fine-tuning on that is a lost cause :P
I'll definitely remake that in a more "precise" way in the next days, but at least for now it's out :D (I feel like a MMO developer, releasing bugged stuff and hoping for the best)
Can you post a fullscreen-shot? I'm not quite sure what this is exactly, or how it would look.
I'm assuming it's the hero icons under the top-left portrait?

yes, but it replaces those icons with more information (as showed)
in other words, in a 5v5 game, there will be 4 of those panels one under the other under your own hero image and hp/mana bars.

If this ISN'T the only mod your using that modifies game.interface, it won't work.

hey i tried following
1. deleted all mods and run your like "stand alone" = nothink happen
2. to directory where is only your resources018.s2z i uploaded your addons u have listed in this thread (NONE of addons does work at all)
3. deleted your resources018.s2z and all addons work
so cant get your one to work even stand alone :(

If the problem is that it doesn't show when you hit U, it might be because your key U is bound to something else. if not, try hitting the teammate info button (the little down arrow under your character's image in the top left) a few times, see if it comes up.

think is i dont have that "little down arrow" if i load your MOD i just have there "B" instead of that (i think its just blue B)

EDIT: so i ran a game with my friend in team and i got this "party interface"

But its somehow buggy (maybee because of patch 1.39)
This is what i get when i want to buy items, first 3 slots WONT be used but instead it start on second line in inventory while i cant see last 3 items in my inventory. That item in stast is 7th item in my inventory.

ye patch 1.19 messed up all MODs, cant wait for updates :)

NOTE: If you have custom interface mods installed, you may need to remove them until the authors can distribute updated versions. Failure to do so may prevent some of your item slots from functioning.

The "B" on the button stands for Bard Unitframes and it's meant to be like that since having the unitframes three states now (Bard's, standard, none) and not just 2 anymore (visible, hidden) the up/down arrow didn't make much sense to me, so I changed it :P

Doesn't really work for me neither, only the B icon, no new unit frames (I can scroll out further though ;\), U bind doesn't work (I don't have anything bound to U). The items are fixed but I still don't have the tooltips from the lower 3 items.
O_o that is strange I just dled the file now and tried on a clean HoN and it worked fine (beside align issues and the fact that on first start both bars show up).
I'll reupload it again just to be sure

feedback:
The name area is kinda small I've seen people with clan tags and long names they'll overlap with the level.
When a hero is dead the skills are not grey.
And at the start both the default and yours show 'over each other', but cycling through with U(or B button) fixes this.
Where are the buttons for top/mid/bot miss etc ? The Modification Repository (http://forums.heroesofnewerth.com/showthread.php?t=7391) says it includes them :>
The weird thing is if I make a solo game, I can scroll out pretty far compared to 'normal'
Not sure if thats this addon cause though.

ye I know about those bugs working on them now, about the Miss buttons lots of people pestered me for a stand-alone version so I uploaded that :( as soon as I finish working on the next update for this I'll update the buttons and release a "pack" with those 2
About the zooming distance: I have indeed a line of code that sets the zoom higher somewhere, but I kinda... lost it ;D so I don't know where it is anymore

The quickstats doesn't use game.interface... you don't need a combination mod for it to work.
If you posted on my thread with a request, I'll have it done soon.

The base image seems a little wonky in general. Mainly the Double Dragon thing along the top of the first hero and the border around the Hero Icon.
Two thoughts...
1.) with a full team...it blocks out about 2-3 inches of your monitor..so its kinda too big
2.) Why go with mod 17 when mod 19 is much better? (even the creator of 17 admitted to this)

Trust me. He struggled to make it as small as sanely possible, and that's pretty much as small as it gets. If you don't like it, don't use it.

I managed to make it a bit smaller on the vertical side and fixed most of the reported bugs, but I still have to find the time to align the bars/icons to the new frames :P
Also I do know that anyway it's too big, that's why I added an hotkey to swap bars on the fly so you keep the "big bars" open only when needed.
When the game will be out and the "stable" mod system is in place anyway I'll redo the UI and place the bars on the bottom right so they're fully out of the way :P

Bug report: it shows both every time I join a new game, and sometimes while I play, both will end up showing when I hit "U" while I type in the chat. That's a pretty major bug imho. I think you should get rid of the hotkey and put it somewhere where people dont use to type often

I get the same bug on loading the game. Very weird. I just cycle through the interface until it's gone. Sortof annoying since sometimes i forget to do it at the start of the game, and later on I'll be wondering why I cant understand my unitframes. :confused:
Very cool mod though. Can't wait for it to look a lot smoother :).

I think you should hide the standard unit frames fully and always show your custom ones. There is no need for that U-cycling and it is only causing problems.

That should work, but I DO use the standard ones too and cycle them often since the standard ones are smaller, so I think I wont, but if someone wants to, feel free to do that and submit it :P

I've noticed it several times after dying, that the standard frames have popped up over the others. Getting quite annoying having to click that little B. But then, I don't want to use the default frames either :(.
Any chance you could work on a fix for this one Bard ?
And is it possible for me to get a hold of the images used in the unit frames so I can modify them to my own liking? :)

Not working for me anymore for some odd reason on 1.41. Button is unclickable and doesn't toggle the unitframes O_o ('U' doesn't work either)

Had a problem with the default frames showing on top of/with Bards so I changed startup.cfg
SetSave cg_displayAllies "true" to false, works fine now.

Please update your mod for 0.1.43 ASAP. And you should do it so that your unit frames are used and the standard ones are disabled (fully).

I'm still making the new version, it's taking a while because it will be sorta different from the actual one (textures, options to enable or disable it, disable fully or not the standard frames, etc...) also some of the bugs that were in (and some that I added modifying it :P) are proving somewhat hard to kill ;D

I think it would be great to have some extra information. The gold amount, level progress (xp to next level) and items.
I'm working on a version that will allow to choose what info will be displayed, ofc it won't have textures like the previous ones as a consequence of this, but I guess it's not a big price to pay. (including the extra info mentioned)
Movable and separated frames might come somewhere in the future, but not right now.
About scalable ones.. I don't think that will ever happen :P

nah I was just trying to do a "depleting line" around the icons to show the skills cooldown, like it's shown for buffs/debuffs, but it needs a cooldown% while we only get a % in seconds

And when i use the Missing/Returning Buttons addon, it don't show the health in numbers up in the left cornor and down in the left cornor with all the Attack and Hold buttons, it doesn't show the Fortification button.
It's like the addon is skipping the newest patches. But i can play the game with the newest heroes and stuff..

And when i use the Missing/Returning Buttons addon, it don't show the health in numbers up in the left cornor and down in the left cornor with all the Attack and Hold buttons, it doesn't show the Fortification button.
It's like the addon is skipping the newest patches. But i can play the game with the newest heroes and stuff..
You're using outdated .s2zs.
.s2zs override your game files.
Use honmods. Hon mod manager uses those to build a big .s2z that includes everything you put in there and can be updated each patch simply by pressing "Apply All" (unless the mod itself is bugged, in which case, just wait for the maker to release a new version).
