This post was motivated by the hero Slither and the click-collision size of his toxic wards, however it might as well concern other units/heroes.
The on screen cursor selects a sepcific point on the map (non-unit type selection) unless it meets the click collision model of a unit (unit type selction).
The problem I issue here is that some small in-game collision-model size units have disproportionally large click collision model, therefore "Shading" an otherwise clickable area of the map.
It has several undesired effects on gamplay:
(2 examples)
1.Slither places toxic wards surrounding an area where his game-model fits in (to block multiple or big meele attackers), however he will not be able to target any point inside that area due to the described "Shading", so he will not be able to go inisde (can't order him to that very point) while he SHOULD be able.
2. You try to land a spell and your cursor is selecting these wards, which are magic immune, so you will get an error message instead of a spellcast (pretty annoying if slither stands inside his wards that he put around himself)
I don't have experience on this 2. case, so i might be wrong, maybe hero models have higher click model priority.
to Developers:
I suggest reducing the click model size of toxic wards, so they don't Shade away otherwise important areas of the map.
I don't have experience on other disproportionally big click models, however there might be some, so pay attention.
