Our esports community is 2nd to none, and we are looking to dive headfirst into Heroes of Newerth. At the moment, we have open recruitment for this game. We are playing in-house scrims every night to help teach our newer players and also find out the players that work well together. Eventually we will be putting together an official team, possibly teams, to represent us in tournaments.

Well, to be honest, quite a few of our players are still in the learning phase. This definitely includes myself. We are all attempting to decipher the game together and find the small differences from DotA. Please do not enter into this feeling that every current member of our in-game clan is a pro.

This does not mean, however, that we do not have some amazing players. We're getting there little by little. Since posting our recruitment thread a few days ago, we have had approximately 25 players interested. :)

My job right now is to find the players with the right attitude to go along with the skill that will make a team succeed. vVv is about excellence. If you feel that you would fit into our organization, we would love to have you and your friends play some games with us!

Edit: I should clarify, I don't personally plan to play this game pro. Guitar Hero is more my cup of tea when it comes to competing. I just see the huge tournament potential for this game. As such, I'm very passionate about putting an amazing team together for my organization. :)

Haha. Yea, I defenitley hear you on that. The game has huge potential in terms of a big competetive scene upon release.

My friends and I are still in the learning phase ourselves; we're still getting used to the new UI and item+hero names. When I first launched the game it totally threw me off haha. I'm so used to DotA being just the way it is :P
The key is like I said in my OP, observing the differences, and capitalizing on the similarities.

But.. I know I look forward to playing inhouse with long time dota players instead of random beta pubs.... xD

We're currently competing in the Beta Tournament, and GameReplays HoN Tournament. We haven't decided if we're posting a recruitment ad here, but we're currently missing 1 on our tournament line because he's moved to Japan and our subs aren't quite ready although we've used our subs to reach Round 3 of the Beta Tournament at the moment.

You guys are welcome to message me in-game to play some games, as we currently take in a lot of newer players into scrims/clan wars to see who has potential.

EDIT:: We've gone with CGF in HoN because we were Ruin and "Ruined" in Everquest, World of Warcraft, DAOC, WAR and other MMOs and were #1 world-wide or server-wide in every game but since HoN is a completely different genre we decided not to use our old name. But our new name has a joke reference to MMOs :)

whats crackin, me and my good RL friend have been playing games competetively for about 7 years now and are lookin for 3 more to play in some HON tournaments,

we are both ex cal-main west champs quit 1/2 way through cal-p in cs 1.6 season 15, been playing wow since release just recently quit about 2 months ago, been in the #1 guild on server from karazhan to sunwell, cleared hero ulduar raider killed algalon and what not, glad priest s2/3/4 and lock 2/3 dipped a bit in competetive dota and made the transition to hon when beta came out
