You should look at it this way, when you enter a tournament/raffle etc the money you put forth as an entry fee is already gone, don't expect to get it back, if however you do become 5th place you will get half your money back, it's better than nothing. We originally had planned to only give the top 3 spots a prize but thought might as well give something to 4th and 5th as well :)

You don't bring your own PC but you can bring your own peripherals.

Inside hint.. Chances of winning this tournament is very high, so many awesome players I've talked too aren't signing up assuming they have no chance, all I'm seeing is noobs registering, I am so tempted to participate myself but it will look unfair if the organizer wins the event. Even if you don't get first place, you are almost guaranteed to walk out of this event with some money if you're a good player. Just grab a friend and make a day of it.

This seems to be the case in many tournaments, I've been to lans and seen awful teams win CS/Cod4 matches only because two teams registered giving noobs a bunch of free peripherals and hardware :S
