I was going to hold off on posting this till tomorrow, but given the literal flood of PM's, emails and IRC queries I have received in regards to it - and the fact I feel we need to move on from recent drama, I think I'll just post it now and save my inbox the trouble! :)
NevaTV (http://nevatv.com) is a professional video platform that whilst offering traditional game casting features, offers a number of innovative features that it hopes will gain your attention.
Competitive game casting by a quality team.
Desktop player functionality.
Downloadable VOD content (including 1080p HD!).
iPhone streaming support.
Minimal advertising, if any!
Multiple players, including support for Flash, HTML5 and more.
Proven live delay technology.
Public live platform, want to stream a game with our technology? You can!
User uploaded VOD library, show the world your casting skills.
We're currently hiring both paid and volunteer staff, and are always interested in expanding our partnership opportunities with third party companies. If you think you have something to offer the NevaTV (http://nevatv.com) network, then just shoot an email opportunities@nevatv.com with a brief outline of what you can provide, what you want in return, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
Anyway, the prototype version of the platform will be going live on May 20th - and we'll be starting off with a live "meet the team" cast so you can see who and what we've put together, and what we have planned for the community.

Damn you and your capable brain! Anyway, we've come up with a few new ideas that we'll be implenting... as listed below!
Consistent interviews, we're aiming for daily!
Feature articles, I think this is self-explanatory.

We will definitely be making low bitrate streams available with users with poor connections, and we're setting up (as in now) - edge nodes in Australia, Japan, China, France, Brazil and South Africa.

1. HoN will be the main focus at this point in time. However, we are looking at covering other games.
2. We will be covering as many tournaments as possible. It would only be smart to do it that way - but we should be covering as many tournaments as organizations allow us too.

Anything that people want us to cast! We've had two events contact us so far, along with a couple of organisations testing the water. We'll definitely be covering the Neva events, and are toying with the idea of third party organisation casting for some games.

The infrastructure and platform is already in place, we've had countless applications for both paid and volunteer staff positions - and right now? I'm testing HTML5 video and 1080p over a mix of HTTP and RTMP. I did some iPhone testing earlier today, video playback was smooth - and once we're live, I'll look in to getting an iPhone app with direct playback developed. :)

I'm pretty sure it has a higher chance of having a clean competitive history now that he is gone.
nobody should be bothered to pick sides in this drama. business relations rely very much on trust, especially sponsorships. and when that trust is gone (for whatever justified or unjustified reason) the stronger side will terminate the relation to protect its interests.
we've enjoyed the quality service of honcast for some time now, free of charge, and now its gone. now you can either mourne the loss forever and curse at whoever you feel is responsible or support the guy who steps up and offers to provide a similar, maybe even better service. vievi, i salute you. make sure to offer some kind of premium membership on the new site. im sure some others would also be willing to show their support and pay a moderate one time fee for good work.

Ha this is actually something I feel Neva has going for them, no breakycpk. I can't help to feel that while he has a great voice, he becomes too mechanical in his casting. I don't feel I have to get into details, but I get tired of listening to him fast.

All the Charlie Brown characters are spread across the State of Minnesota. It's pretty awesome.

Not to be pushy, but any word on when responses will go out to those who applied for positions? Just wondering what timeframe we should be expecting.

We received responses in the low XXX range, everyone will be replied to by 6PM GMT on the 18th however. :)

Just to dispel some rumours going around, since I'm getting random messages on my phone at 5AM in the morning. :)
For those of you in the United States making over $4,000 with us and on a salary, we have an EIN for tax purposes (for your W2 form, e.t.c). We also have the relevant setup here in the United Kingdom, so no need to worry about that. :)
We're incorporating in the United States alongside the EIN, and will be based within the state of California - we're currently setup as a partnership until that's done however. In the UK, we'll be incorporating today in England & Wales as a private company limited by shares (LTD).

I thought Neva Digital was a big company - why would you be incorporating your company today? If you were actually a legit company - you should already be inc'd.
Also, why would you ALSO incorporate when all you need is a Federal Tax ID to operate within the United States? You don't need a physical address. Also, you said earlier that your so called "company" doesn't need a Federal Tax ID - but now you say you have one? I've got the logs to back it up as well - so don't try saying you were keeping me in the dark - that one's been used before.
I'll wait for the defensive reply. Or the attacks. Or the anger.

Neva Digital is indeed incorporated, I am referring to NevaTV. :)
The management board has agreed to incorporate in the United States as well, for numerous reasons - including the fact I will be spending half my time in California from next month onwards.

Following up on this, whilst NevaTV is part of the Neva Digital brand, it's an entirely new corporation - founded by myself and "Ruby Mae".

Sorry, I missed this point (almost 6AM here, so a bit tired). You do not need to report any earnings under $4,000 - so for people within NevaTV who are either not earning this much, or are earning $0 yet under a contract of employment, providing them with the EIN is entirely pointless, and not needed.
For people who earn more than this (we have a couple of people already above this mark), they've been provided with the EIN if located in the United States, and advised on what to do if located elsewhere.
If anyone has questions on corporate status, as always you can email me. If it's related to NevaTV though - email me on ryan@nevatv.com, I'll email you back as soon as I can!

Lets dumb this down for people who don't know yet. When you say management board, you really mean you and your 5 fingers. We all know you couldn't care what anyone else has to say - so lets not act like you do.
Also - when I asked you this morning regarding which company you said I would be contracted under - you said I would be contracted by NevaTV - however, Neva Digital, LTD was listed on the contract....hmm.
By the way: It's $1,000 or less. I guess that business owner you guys consulted earlier isn't pulling through as hoped huh?

Carmen has an equivalent stake in ownership to myself, her say holds as much power as mine - and on both a personal and business level, I value her opinion greatly, more than my own. In reference to the other two board members, I have always listened to Penance's advice - and it's thanks to him in part, that our events run so smoothly.
Chapy recently joined the management team, we've had ideas going back on forth, we've interviewed applicants - and I truly value his opinion. I am extremely thankful we managed to acquire him, and I am happy we've put him in a position where he has power in the direction of the company, he's been nothing but an asset from day one. And day one was yesterday! ^^
In reference to the naming issue, I apologise, this was an error on my part. Since we have existing employee agreements in place at Neva Digital, I simply transferred them over. If I forgot to change the name, I'm sorry on that - they were changed for the others! :)
I don't get why can't you just take all honcast casters. I am sure they will agree to move to your platform. If they won't agree - that would be dumb.
My point is, you both will suffer from separating the community.
And i am somewhat sure that NTV will have premium features that cost $$$. They are making business here sooooooo....

I'll have to check with someone who is a specialist in US income tax (I'm no expert), but I do believe it's...
In terms of actual tax paid... in 2009, $5700 was the rate (standard deduction)... plus your personal exemption of what, $3650? I'll have to double check what the reporting threshold is though, so I'll get back to you on that once I have a chance to speak to a US tax specialist tomorrow. :)
Platform is looking great Vievi. I sent you an email :)

Discussing taxes has no place in this topic or in any public, on-topic section on this forum as far as I know. If you want get a boner over taxes than PM vivei directly or email him, thanks.

It's pretty widely known that competition is healthy, the only thing that adding another casting company into the mix will do is raise the quality of content for every casting company affected. Raise the bar if you will.
