You can always cast spells while inside Glacius freeze. However, you can't move (follow your target), so it's not very good use of a skill :D

Glacius's freeze will interupt spells, and cancel channeling spells. However you can still activate your skills while inside of it.

I think the funniest thing I've seen is an iceblocked Swiftblade teleporting around a hero while killing him.

If you are arachna remember that you can manually cast your orb (Webshot). This was more important in dota where mroe characters have orb (Drow, Viper, Silencer, Huskar).

Glacius freeze move, in dota, was considerd a "root" spell.

A root spell in WC3 engine, Interupts (stops a spell cast), prevents movement, and prevents the blink spell from working. All other spells work.

They need to fix the blink part.

In dota CM's freeze is just a Kotl's Entangling Roots spell with the Frost Wyrm ice block attack model instead of the roots.
Refer to Mojo StormStout for a list of things that can and can't be done in dota: http://classic.battle.net/war3/nightelf/units/keepergrove.shtml

Causes roots to burst from the ground, immobilizing and damaging a target enemy. [...]
Entangled Units are unable to attack, though they can still cast spells. [...]
Entangling Roots will prevent enemy Heroes and units from teleporting back to town via Scrolls of Town Portal or Archmage Mass Teleport.[...]
Afaik the only difference between dota and hon freeze is that you are still able to blink in hon

You could blink in DotA but the debuff would still lock you in place, much like the Net from Naga Siren.

Only with skills that aren't true blinks, though (like Time Walk)

Must have been before Ensnare's projectile actually hit Magina then

Sigh.. enough misinformation, please.

Blink CANNOT be used while rooted (including frost bite) or netted (Naga). Blink-LIKE spells as mirana leap, void timewalk, etc. CAN be used, but you will remain rooted/netted at your destination. Activating BKB (or spinning as Jugger) will NEGATE the entire root effect but won't remove net. Also, you can net a magic immue target (Geomancer's net was nerfed to not hit magic immune targets).

Time will tell how much of this behaviour will be transferred to the HoN engine.

More like, you tried to dodge it too soon and Blinked within cast range, so that Naga could finish casting Ensnare after the Blink. If the projectile is in midair when you Blink, you will avoid it entirely. If it hits you, you can cast Blink.
