Whats this mod about
Scrolling over names of players gives their game stats from the F6 stats page. Much faster.
The panel is only shown when you scroll over someone's name.

Old s2z Installing Instructions
To install, download the .s2z file into the games folder game/ folder. The default locations for these are:

Linux: /home/<username>/HoN/game/
Windows 7: C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game\
Windows Vista: C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game\
Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game\
Mac:
1. Press Finder
2. Press Applications
3. Right click 'Heroes of Newerth', and press Show containing files
4. Open Game folder
5. Move file here



Note: There is ALMOST no lag while scrolling over peoples names. So much faster than /s name or rightclicking-> view stats. Enjoy

Most people don't have spectators in their games, and even if they do you don't need to know their stats since they aren't playing! Lower than ver4

Yup it was a change with the new update. 0.1.38 they added a small right click interface at the bottom. Change in the works, should be done in 15 minutes.

i dont like the formula for the kd ratio that everyone uses ... i think the assist plays a part ... in a minor grade but it is ... so i use (kills + (assist / 3) / deaths

not always that u get an assist u played a key role on the kill ... for that factor i think that / 3 is a valid view for that stat

also added the average game length just for hav more stats


PD: i really dont like to concede .. i believe thant a game that u r losing and turn it around r one of the most fun games... thats the reason why i added game length average.

I disagree because you don't always get an assist even when you assist. The game seems to ignore some skills when it comes to assists. I'd say /2 would be better, especially since often you get an assist even when you do all the work.

There is a rightclick thing they added during 0.1.38. My mod doesn't need to be combined into anything because no one else has edited the game_lobby (yet..). Might try just dropping mine in and hope it overwrites his.

Sadly I cannot get it working for scroll over on chat right now. For one, it calls "onmouseover" for every single pixel you move instead of once it enters the panel. This may just be me, I don't know.

You must click the username to see stats, and the window will close once you exit the entire listbox of names.

Until I can look at it more and get actual scroll over working, this will have to do.

This would have 2 benefits, no more 'lag' after the first mouseover, second less 'stress'/data on the s2 servers.
I've no idea how hon modding/coding works, so this might just not be possible for mods itself.

Ok so the newer version looks prettier, but the function i was using to get stats from chat broke, but that's ok, because the next version is going to cache stats when people enter and then just display the info under that name :)

I don't know why but ever since 1.40 came out your update is slower for me. In 1.38 when I moused over the stats would instantly appear. Now there is a second or two delay. Your stats window appears right away, there's just no stats for a second or two. I noticed this change when switching to 10.1, still a great mod and thank you.

That delay is waiting for S2's server to respond, after the delay they should be cached and no delay, sorry can't do anything about it.

These are all copied from the F6 Stats menu. I didn't calculate any of them. So I'll leave it as is unless they change it.

I'll consider adding it later, problem is you can see their clan tag already... If I can figure out how to save booleans to disk (probably not possible atm) so that I can save options then I will create a version which allows people to show or hide whatever they want

Yea this version is playing with some funky stuff.

Here's a quick fix type

HIT crtl-F8 then type

setsave picklefish_stats_options_installed falseThen restart HoN OR type
reloadinterfaces
(you can copy and paste into the console from here)

This should reset the variables. I am going to add a reset stats button to the next beta version to hopfully fix this UNTIL i can actually find out what broke.

So I am having a crazy hard time figureing out a resizing bug that has to do with PSR being unchecked then it doesn't resize properly? I don't know It's really annoying. The S2 engine is wonky with triggers and such. I'm posting the next beta though with a reset button incase anyone else gets that weird no checkboxes bug.

Which version did you download? It's only in the betaversion, and it should appear in the top center.

Anyways - now that I do have the settings button, I have two suggestions. First of all the horizontal padding on the button is a bit too tight. The button should be slightly wider or the text smaller (I'd prefer the former).

im not sure if its doable(but everyone wants same thing from S2).
it would be nice if you could create some algorithm which would take all stats into account(W,L;K,D,A;maybe denies per game) and give simple number. such number could be added to each player(in addition to all other stats), so host wont have to check all stats of all players in lobby. i think that the algorithm would take a lot of tweaking, but i think that it could be tweaked enough to give objective number to measure personal skill(we have PSR to measure team skill).

Well, I fooled around with it and had your resize thing always set the height to 0 (faster than removing it) and I set the panel default height to 0. I think since you have grow = true set for the panel, it just sizes itself.

Could colouring of leave % also take into account the number of games played since % is only applied if you have played >100games. Less then 100games and there is a fix leave figure

If you use the .honmod version, it should be compatible with all most of the newer versions. Also, the memory usage is minimal... It's like having notepad open with like 20 lines of text. Doesn't take much memory.

So i can't use the new optins. I try to reset it, but it doesn't help.

Sorry for the choice of words, English isn't my first language. It's not intrusive like "being in the way", but it's "a stain" on the original UI. It's an unnecessary button after first configuration, and I would rather have it hidden in F6. Same goes for Barter's "+" button.

By discontinuing support for standalone installs, you are eliminating a portion (i dont know how significant) of your userbase. Other mods are being released in both versions. Would you as well?

At the bottom of the post is an s2z version. It's in the [code] section. Download 2.0beta3 or Version 10 (for simpler one).
I don't have time to create updated s2z versions. But nothing changed this time so they are still updated.


Edit: I just realized something hilarious. I can make s2z versions by turning on only my mod and just posting the result of the HoN mod version.... making s2z's is easy. doh.

There are multiple version, one doesn't have the stats button. The Stable one from back then doesn't. Download the beta2.0 one OR use the HoN ModMan one. I will create an s2z update with the latest when I get a chance.

I've done away with referring to the changelog, becuase that required everyone to read that part of it. Instead I've given numbers for different amounts of players in a game(like the changelog did).

Hey guys, I've think I've fixed the mod to work with 1.49. I don't really know what I'm doing, it's more a copy/paste job and comarping the new 1.49 version to the old one. S2 changed the variable/paramater(idk what it is) "name" to "username". So I've updated the files with that.
Download the attachment and rename its file extension from .zip to .honmod(make sure you have the option to show file extensions on) and it should work fine.

Sure, I'll just remove the xml and image file in the packaging and reupload it. Just rename the .zip extension to .s2z. :)

I do reccomend using HoN ModMan if you ever start using mod's that both alter the same game files(e.g the easy chat mode toggler and thos one do) though, because it will make them compatible. It's very easy to use, and doesn't require you to manually combine them since it does it for you.

Thanks for uploading it in such a format. I can't be bothered using the HoN mod manager when only using a few mods.

I thought the same thing at first, but it's actually quite painless to use. It's a very simple program, it doesn't require installing you just rune the one exe file. I guess you don't have mods that require combining to be compatible though(edit the same game file). :)

you'll need the tweaked version mentioned in the latest posts, the one in the main post is not working in 1.49.

Reapply your mods to the new 1.5 files.

Well the s2z file version did, game_lobby.interface was changed in 1.52 or 1.51.

I'm not sure on the HonMod version, I'll take a look through it. Picklefish packaged it with all the same files from the s2z versions, so I need to find out if mod.xml is actually referring to them or they're just sitting there doing nothing.

Edit: Nope they were just sitting there, so the honmod version didn't need an update. But I'll update the honmod link with a new version without those uneccessary files(game_chat.package and game_lobby.interface), so it will now be much smaller. Do you think it would be a good idea to copy the download links to th repository stickes? I know I'm not the mod's author but the other versions aren't updated, and it will save users having issues. And thanks for getting me to look at the honmod file properly. :p
