Hi HoN & -Community!
Am I the only one who is missing the -switch function of DotA? - The ability to be able to switch players between teams after the match has started?
- I think this should be implemented in HoN also, as it's really sad to suddenly be 5 vs 3 due to rage.
It should work so that it's only active once a player is terminated, so he still has time to reconnect. And everybody still in the game must accept the switch, of course.
How exactly this would work in HoN, especially when more players are terminated, I don't know, but I guess that's up to the developers.
EDIT: and sorry if post is in wrong section or if somebody has already posted this(DID search and found nothing)

Missing it? Nah, I'm really glad it ain't here. Most of the time switch just ruined the games that were already over by unnecessarily prolonging them. People were crying switch even in 5v5 situations when they were clearly losing and the game was over.
Switches are especially evil when they ruin your teams setup by forcing a key element in it to switch over, or when you have picked your hero to counter some specific threats and are forced to switch over.
Besides, leavers/disconnects aren't as big of a problem here than in pub dota 'cause of the reconnect option and leaver-stats.

Think about the guy who gets a loss from switching even though he was doing fine...

In the very few games I actually accepted switch, it was the team who got the extra player who won. The playercount is evened out, only the team who recieved a player got extra gold from leaver item selling / sharing on top of a fresh player, stacked with items of his own.
As long as theres an option to disable switch, go ahead. Add it. I won't EVER use it.

True.... that wouldn't work well in this game, I guess :D Nobody would wanna switch and risk loosing..
But then again, another proof that stats are ruining this game? People rather play a totally unbalanced match rather than switching and just play the game to have fun?

unbalanced matches end faster :D.
Also, concede.

Switch was the worst idea Icefrog had for DotA in a long time.

There is a reason why switch was quickly taken out as a default and made into an option. And then a -no was added.
Switch is a terrible idea.

Switch is just as bad as EM - should've never made it into DotA in the first place.
Especially now with the awesome (...) PSR and /stats system -switch would suck as it messes with both. Right now PSR doesn't even adapt to leavers and how would you feel if you get switched, take a loss, and dump your PSR by 50.
'-switch' drags the game longer; no point.
if it's a 5v3, the host would do the smart thing and request for a 'remake' or just 'concede' not that hard to earn back points

It's just amazing when a team feeds the enemy carry 15-0 and then he switches with their weakest hero, which left and proceeds to rape his own team.
I made 2 rapiers on PA that game.
Yeah, it's a bad idea.

Concede / remake options are in the game. There is no need for switch.

Also, if the game is 5v3 you are free to leave the game without penalty.

Maybe make it a vote option, like remake or concede? When successfully voted. It unlocks this command?
No -switch please
I hate it !!!!

common people. if you don't like it just say no when it comes o.o. There's no big deal on doing this. I think it's good for pub ruined games.Make a Pool =)

Rather get an option to remake if several players leave, and let PSR adapt to changes in team. Right now remake is disabled after a short time, so even tho a person disconnects at the start of the game and when he terminates, remake is disabled.

-switch was the worst idea ever implemented into DotA; I can't count the number of games that it was "SWITCH OR I'M LEAVING WAAAAAH," or "UR A NUB HOST FOR NOT DOING SWITCH GG" /leave. Most of the time I've seen people switch, its the ones that are most fed, and usually unbalance the game whichever way they go.
Just let the team that won, win.

There are many other threads that discuss switch, use the search function to find them (they're bound to be in the General Beta or the Interface Discussion sections)
Closed because nothing constructive will emerge from this. If you have a suggestion, post it in another forum, thanks!
