Alienware Arena launches today the Linksys For the Win (FTW): Heroes of Newerth Launch Tournament. This online gaming tournament kicks off the newly released PC and online multiplayer game Heroes of Newerth, winner of the Independent Games Festival's Audience Award at GDC 2010. The tournament starts on June 7, 2010, and is the latest in the ongoing Alienware Arena series presented by Alienware, Dell's premier PC gaming brand representing premium power and performance for gamers and technology enthusiasts alike.

Participating gamers from across the United States and Canada in the Linksys FTW: Heroes of Newerth Launch Tournament will form teams and compete online for prizes and the championship title. The event will include both an invitation-only Elite Division (open to the top eight teams) and an Open Division with up to 264 teams, battling through stages of league and double-elimination play. The fight to conquer Newerth will end on August 19, 2010 with top teams in each division taking home a share of more than $5,000 in prizes, including Cisco?s Linksys E3000 High Performance Wireless-N Router for each player on the top Elite Division team.

"We're excited to work alongside Cisco and Alienware to kick off this tournament in celebration of HoN's official launch," said Marc DeForest, CEO of S2 Games. "Competitive play is what HoN is all about, and our fans can expect to see more and more high-stakes tournaments coming from us as our community continues to grow."

"The combination of Alienware, S2 Games and Cisco creates the ultimate gaming experience," said Scott Kabat, Director of Marketing, Cisco Consumer Products. "We built our new Linksys E3000 router to provide the high quality performance, speed, and customization that gamers demand."

Registration for the Linksys FTW: Heroes of Newerth Launch Tournament is free and open now to select residents of the United States and Canada at http://www.alienwarearena.com/event/linksys-hon/. Open Division team slots are limited, and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

It's good to see more and more tournaments coming up, although we won't see all the top teams participating in this one...
But i think we have to accept the fact that there will be a lot more tournaments for certain regions in the future, so i'm looking forward to some good games :)

During the last Neva Tournament I actually turned off your stream and went to watch the replay-cast on Honcast (and god knows that I am not a fan of Honcast), due to every other caster than Chapy being _horribad_ on Neva.

Is your site going to look like it currently is? I thought it was a temporary site, untill you got a professional solution?

If you have an awesome replay you wish to share with us and others, please submit it here (http://www.alienwarearena.com/forums/topic/1288/) and your replay might be in the Alienware Arena frag film at the end of the Linksys tournament. This video will be made by a professional videographer so we need a lot of replays!

This is from the community for the community, so I better see some sick clips! :p
