Armadillo and Helm of Black legion

I was wondering how exactly Armadillo works with helm of black legion. Is the 40% reduction from the back come before the 40 damage block from black legion or after? Thx

its from the damage you take so the blocked damage does not count.

If this works the same as dota, then the bristleback will reduce damage AFTER all reductions, however it would be a lot more effective if the engine saw it as before damage reductions, since right now it is a countersynergy, making the quil release a lot slower.

Helm of the Black Legion would probably be very overpowered if the block damage came after reductions such as armor or armadon's passive.
