Nuff said. Why should his crossbow shoot green bolts that look like ICBMs when he could shoot massive anti-tank missiles?

The Scout uses his crossbow to perform a devastating ranged attack on a single unit, damaging and slowing it.

Action > Target Entity Type > Nonboss Visible Enemy Units

Type: Superior Magic
Range: 1500 / 2000 / 2500
Channeling Time: 1.5 / 1 / 0.5 Seconds
Mana Cost: 125 / 175 / 250
Cooldown: 50 / 40 / 30

Activation
After channel time, fires projectile at target that deals 250 plus 10 / 20 / 30% of target's maximum health in Magic damage. Applies Wounded to target unit for 4 seconds.

Vision must be maintained on the target during channel time, or the cast is cancelled.

Wounded Effects
20 / 30 / 40% Movement Slow

The Scout loads a massive missile on his crossbow that deals a devastating explosion on targeted enemies after some time of locking on, stunning and damaging enemies in a large AoE.

Action > Target Entity/Area Near Targeted Entity
Type > Nonboss Visible Enemy Units

Type: Superior Magic (Targeting) Magic (Stun and damage effect)
Range: 1750 / 2250 / 3000
Channeling Time: 0.1-10 Seconds
Mana Cost: 200 / 300 / 400
Cooldown: 110 / 100 / 90
Area of Effect: 550 / 650 / 750

Activation
Channels for max 10 seconds. At any time when the channel is broken the Javelin flies up in the sky and crashes down with massive force, stunning enemies in the AoE for channeling time divided by 3 / 2.5 / 2 and damaging enemies in the AoE for channeling time x 50 / 75 / 100.

The spell is cancelled if the target leaves sight.


So what do you think? Any ideas, or do you think this is a stale, crappy suggestion and doesnt have interesting mechanics?


P.S.
Staff of the Master Effect: Turns the spell into a longer channeled, area of effect massive stun/damage spell. Removes percentual damage and slow.

Instead of the "marksman's board" which appears on top of the enemy during the old channel, http://i40.tinypic.com/1zw224h.jpg will appear (a bit dimmer version though) under the enemy when the spell is channeling.

i don t like the idea of a missle why not just make it a flaming arrow ?

scout does not need this... he is already a little piece of **** with his ult it doesn't need to become and overpowerd AOE facerape nuke.

z0ddz: i believe that's been texture modded already, and why would a flaming arrow explode in the first place?
Nixon: If you actually bothered to notice, the cast time for at least a DECENT stun is as long as it takes to fully channel Panda's ulti. And with such a large target marker, i doubt anyone with half a brain cycle wouldnt notice it coming and moving out of sight.

Ps. It's not about what scout NEEDS, it's about introducing a different build.

While having big ass rocket as ulti seems cool, it just doesn't fit this hero. There is no way a simple arrow could evolve into a rocket. Besides, you completely changed ulti instead of simply adding bonus to it like sotm is supposed to.

Earthyy: Really? As i said before, IT'S NOT ABOUT WHAT HE NEEDS, IT'S ABOUT INTRODUCING A NEW BUILD. L2read other posts than OP.

P.S. The "new build" i keep talking about is more of a nuker build than the carry one (if you don't count buycodexkseverything a build) and more of a "useful to team, that requires team" build. Such as building FF plate & SotM for scout.
