SPOILER IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE!!!!

So ya, I just got finished watching Iron Man 2.... and it was a meh movie. But I was actually making this topic on the issue of AFTER the movie and the credits.

So if you have seen it or if you just don't care about spoilers, they pretty much showed the Muljin or whatever its called, which was Thors hammer. Iono if it is just me, but Thor just doesn't seem like a recognizable hero for a movie and I dont know how I feel about another "I HAVE A LOT OF STRENGTH" hero.

Personally I would love the see the Captain America or Green Lantern stories instead, think those would be better... but hey mabey those are coming still as well to get ready for the Avengers movie.

Anyways ya, was just curious what others thought about this as well and what was there first reaction when they realised what it was.

from a yahoo article: http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/movie-talk-batman-3-summer-2012.html
The summer '12 movie season will kick off with "The Avengers," the movie that will bring together Marvel Comics' biggest heroes. Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the Hulk will team up in a massive movie opening the first weekend of May. Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson are definitely on board for the flick, which will reportedly be directed by "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" creator Joss Whedon.

O... I guess I haven't done my research then. Well that is good at least, and ya I did see the Avengers shield and noticed it right away. Meh, I will just leave the spoiler on just in case, because it does give away the after credit scene of Iron Man 2.

I've heard about a Green lantern movie.
It was going to be filmed in Australia, but the the exchange rate was like 90 cents to 1 US $ so they didn't bother.

No idea what happened to it since :).

Not recognizable?! Sure Thor may not be as well known as heroes like Spiderman or the X-men, but he certainly has a pretty established place in comic book history. Thor was pretty much Marvel's attempt to 1UP superman (when you look at it Superman and Thor are very similar heroes). He is also a lot more than an "I HAVE A LOT OF STRENGTH HERO".

The character also possesses high resistance to physical injury;(e.g. rocket fire; falls from orbital heights and the gravity of a neutron star)superhuman senses ("super-breath"; tracking objects traveling faster than light; hearing cries from the other side of the planet, and a kiss that can overwhelm mortal women); speed; agility and reflexes. Thor has also shown the ability to regenerate when wounded. Like all Asgardians he has resistance to all Earthly diseases and some resistance to magic.

Bolded for badassery.

I was hoping Justin Hammer died in the end. Disappointed. :<

Hammer was an annoying douche who excelled at creating things that broke.

Not too dissimilar to his comic book portrayal apparently.

Only problem I have with the Thor movie is Chris Hemsworth playing Thor. He just seems too small of a guy to be playing Thor. However, he is an amazing actor so its only a very small problem to me.

I kind of hope they go with the newer Thor story line. Along the lines that he is normal guy with a "magical" hammer. He just goes crazy and thinks he is a god. I was big into comics for a while so any comic made movie is always welcome to me.
