If you need 1000 clicks to kill a single rat, you're doing it wrong.

And I prefer the skill system in Morrowind (where you're only good with a skill when you level it enough) than in Oblivion (Your character has never used a sword, but he can be the new Kill Bill as soon as you pick up one.)*

I think I've completed Morrowind 7 or 8 times (and played a lot of mods), but I can't play Oblivion again, after finishing it once.

*OHKOing almost everying with a x6 crit arrow sucks.

Oblivion was great, Dragon Age had an awesome story but the combat was a tad boring.
Morrowind I liked the "environment" better, but magic/combat system in oblivion was superior.

Borderlands. I never played Diablo, so the loot system was brand new to me. I base a lot of games on sounds, and Borderlands' sounds fit perfectly. And to top it off I played with the perfect group of friends. The ones you'd want to play it with. The only game I've ever wanted to time travel back in time to enjoy again. <-NERDALERT

Skies of Arcadia for the Sega Dreamcast and it's remake Skies of Arcadia: Legends for the Gamecube is hands down, no competition, all me and my buds favorite game AND RPG of all time.

Amazing story, amazing characters, awesome music, and outstanding graphics in it's time. I've played every FF to date and many many western RPGs and they all fail in comparison to Skies of Arcadia.

Do yourself a favor, pick it up on eBay or emulate it. Life isn't complete without it.
