THIS MOD IS CURRENTLY SUFFERING FROM A SERIOUS ISSUE, I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING IT UNTIL IT'S FIXED

beast

This mod has effectively doubled my KD ratio and tripled the amount of towerdives. Highly recommended to anyone who needs to PUMP more.

For a year of beta, Arnej's beautiful classical melodies have graced our ears, their beautiful instrumental sounds totally at odds with the grime and carnage strewn across the battlefields of Newerth. However, wonderful though they sound, they aren't quite what you need to get in a killing mood. This sound mod aims to remedy this, by replacing the default music with some Hardcore mixes by Deluge of Sound. It includes the following mixes:

Menu: Sailing Through an Oncoming Express Train (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJWnMqKzSKI)

Track One: Travelling with a Flock of Hibernating Teaspoons (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbwuyRFHJXQ&feature=watch_response_rev)

Track Two: Negative Submerged Mutations of Half a King (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxEstWr1GDw&feature=watch_response)

Track Three: Half as Red is Still Red (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y9H2cZCPI8)

If you enjoyed Deluge's stuff, you can check out his channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/snibaftw#p/u.

I hope you enjoy the mixes.

To Install:
Simply download this file (http://www.mediafire.com/?qui4qhyjwni) into the Heroes of Newerth game folder. The default locations for this folder are:

Linux: /home/<username>/HoN/game/
Windows 7: C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game\
Windows Vista: C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game\
Windows XP: C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\game\
Mac:
1. Press Finder
2. Press Applications
3. Right click 'Heroes of Newerth', and press Show containing files
4. Open Game folder

Hey, I like this stuff -_-

If it's a problem with the actual mod, describe it and I'll tell you how to fix it.

Probably looking for that punk-type of hardcore eh?

4 songs = 184mb download?

YawningAngel

Long songs. It's actually 5 songs, since it includes a lobby track, but I didn't bother to lost it because lobby music doesn't work anyway.

In this case, a 'song' is actually a mix of multiple songs. If you click on the links you can find the tracklists in the description.
Like the first mix (song) consists of:
1. Na-Goyah vs S'aphira - Here Comes
2. Miss Hysteria - Obsessions (Negative-A remix)
3. Lenny Dee, Unexist & Tommyknocker - Destructive Behavior
4. The Genesis Projection - World Grid
5. Angels of Darkness - Cold as Ice
6. Miss Hysteria - Particle Physics
7. Unexist & Mad Dog - Fight The Power
8. Nosferatu - Unpredictable

I tried it, the game lags for like 4 seconds whenever there is a track change, can't use it.

haha nice. Good to see this is real hardcore and not death metal.

Not that theres anything wrong with death metal.....

You are entirely correct, if your system is lower-end then you're going to have this problem, but the bottom line is that there isn't much I can do about it. The only option would be to chop the mixes up into much smaller sections, but then there'd just be more changes, and it'd suck on the changeovers because, unlike Arnej's pieces, these mixes don't have fadeout. My only OTHER option would be to compile them all into one massive mix and then completely own your PC at 0:00.

for the creator: i have HoN at full graphics, I intalled this mod (music is great btw) and my HoN crashes once per game... any ideas why is this happening?

Yes, I have an idea. Is it crashing around the 20 minute mark by any chance? If so, it's probably at the changeover between one mix and another. I can't fix it though.

Wow someone doesn't know their music...

Hardcore more often than not refers to hardcore punk, which sounds completely different than metal altogether.

It's probably the file size, some compression would fix that.

Yeah, I need to make the file sizes smaller TBH. I'm gonna put this in big letters at the top until it's fixed.

My system isn't Low-end, I'm running Hon with every graphic option at it's highest. I played through Metro 2033 with all settings on high, have you played metro 2033? it's a gorgeous looking game, are you telling me my computer can run that game at almost max settings but it can't change a song in your shitty mod without skipping? Don't assume.

My system is lower end and I experience this sometimes. My friend's computer is much better and he doesn't get it. Hence, I assumed it was lower end PCs. Like I said, I'm trying to fix the problem.

I was mislead by thread title, maybe Hardstyle would be more appropriate?

YawningAngel

It was meant to be a hardcore mod, but I couldn't make up the length with hardcore alone, so I added some hardstyle in.
