Last week we saw the finals of our TS1 Invitational between the two top teams in HoN; fiVe and LOADED. This week we are going to take a break from competition between teams, and instead pit player against player in solo combat. Read the full news post here. Why buy just 1x Astrolabe? That leaves you with 709 Gold.
Either 1x Astrolabe + 2x Minor Totem (603), or, what I prefer,
4x Minor Totem, 1x Warhammer, 1x Mystic Vestments = 803 Gold; Free Courier.
With the Free Courier you'd not only stay away from People buying 5 Sets of Blights,
but also actually allow all 6 Slots on the Heroes (with an Astrolabe that you have to drop in the Lane, you got -1 Slot).

Newspost seems to be functioning now.
I've received a fair amount of signups already, so I'll likely expand it beyond 32 to 32 plus a qualifier or even add an extra round for 64 players.
Anyway, keep sending them in.

Because this is going to be the proving grounds for our 1v1 invitational $20,000 tourny in June.
Lol, is this for everyone?
It'd be fun to get a learning experience from playing the pros.

oh and vulpes thanks for the suggestions..we'll probably go with the idea tht leaves 603 gold..Rules will be changed before brackets are released.

that might overlap with the optrix tournament at 1900 gmt same day , might wanna make it earlier
also you could expand the bracket to 128 or 256 since there are a lot more individual players than 5 man teams

The issue is simultaneous matches, not so much player numbers. If we expand to 128 we'd simply wouldn't have the manpower to deal with everybody. Its looking like we'll have close to 64 signups anyway.
I don't think we'll change the time.
Next big tourney is the 50.000$ Scout-only Invitational.
