Hello people!
I completed my first mod :)

REQUIRES : HoN Mod Manager :cool:

It's modification of :ramp: - hero_select sound, custom sound charge (all time when charging) and some "pointer" on enemy hero :)

- Pointer is now just on debuff effect "Watch out!", not from start of charge.
+ Scaled down effects (there were so much. Thanks Naildown!)
+ Added sound "Watch your Toes!" on debuff effect "Watch out!" (Again thanks to Naildown!)
+ Fixed for all games (Thanks Caketastic!)

+ Added gold color (Thanks to user RobertLoggia!) to first 2 charges of Stompede.
+ Added gold blow to gold color on last (3) charge of Stompede. Watch second preview :)

Would this have any potential conflicts with the previous Rampage mod that shows the burning charge target?

ex, enemy rampage charges me. Do I hear the sound and get burned?

Didn't test it yet with all potential conflicts. I have to do it but i don't think there will be any :)

As of right now I can't use both at the same time for max effect (or so I think, test this). Test this in a no stat game so the enemy is not considered to be your unit.

Other concerns: Two rampages on one team (or game) charging at same time playing the music twice at the same time. idk if it's possible to have only one playing or not :P

And as a personal opinion, I like the burn effect of the "Watch Out" mod better :(

From this mod i took only "effect" of pointer - rest is my work.
There is no problem to take it scaled down and also make it look like this in "Watch out" mod :)

Great, yeah I think scaling down the effect would be better as it looks a little too "powerful". You don't see :bloo:'s ult spraying blood everywhere :).

If you can possibly confirm/add the ability for the pointer to show up from an enemy rampage charge like the previous mod, :+1luck:

Only thing I haven't tested :P

Okey so i am backing with technical answers :
1. If enemy rampage charges you'll see only gold color effects - no music and pointer. You can't make it cuz there is a security so you can't make so much.

And I think that I won't make any more or advanced animations cuz i don't know anything about it :)
I am going to make version 1.3 soon.

The "Watch Out" mod would display the burn and play "Watch your Toes" when the debuff was applied.

I was able to get the same effect by copying the "state_warning.entity", putting it next to the other state, and adding it into the .XML to be added into the game. However this removed rampage's initial charge music+burn until the buff was applied.

I'ma do some more tinkering later with it tonight cuz I have some more ideas on how to remedy it. This is the first mod I've looked at/worked on ever.

I'm going to bring over the "Watch Out" special and just combine it with the current one with different names (because with the two mods both enabled override eachother). I'll post it later tonight and you can make your final edits for 1.3 :P


as of now I can't find anyone to test it with, it works fine in test game, but since it is my controllable unit it plays the music instead of the watch your toes.

Yeah pretty much, with the Watch your Toes and burning on them.

Makes the other mod unnecessary and redundant :)

I haven't tested it yet, but say I'm getting charged by a rampage with this mod, will it do the big glowing red thing?

I like it when I'm charging someone, but I find it a borderline hack when a giant red thing comes over me warning me rampage is charging me. I know there is debuff, but it should be kept that way.

Again, haven't tested. If that is the case, can we get a version that only plays the music/changes rampage to gold?

great work, but it sometimes bugs and plays sound when rampage isn't charging. I think it will bug if rampage dont finishes hes charge, but im not certain though, will check more when i come home:P

It stops - you just have to target unit who is charging. For example you charge enemy hero, you cancel charge and you have to move your vision on him - It will stop. But att all i'll do some rework soon.

The looping sound originates from or is centered around the target unit being charged, not Rampage.
This means that the sound plays loudest when the target unit is on screen, and gets quieter the further you move the screen from it.
It also means that if you target the enemy with Charge then instantly move the screen away from the enemy, the sound will not start playing until you move the screen back close enough to the enemy.
Also, the biggest problem, if you cancel the charge while your screen is a decent distance away from the charged unit, the sound will continue playing until the screen moves close enough to the enemy unit so that it registers that the sound has stopped.

Is there a way to make the sound a "global" sound, or make it originate from Rampage (loudest sound when centered on Rampage) but still start playing properly when it is cast and Rampage is out of the screen (because you would usually select a target a long distance away from Rampage). And also make it so that it stops playing when Charge is stopped, no matter where the screen is.

You know that was my first try of mod but it worked only on practice mode. I'll try but I don't know at this time when i'll finish it :)

Loving this mod.

However I have had times where I hear the music playing (while against Rampage) and I haven't seen Rampage (ie charge from fountain) without the "Watch out".

Essentially advanced warning of the charge is given even before the "Watch Out", even to the opposing team. Not a problem with the mod, but with the client.
