I can't be the only lifter on these forums. I need something to browse between sets lol. Anyone else lift on these forums?
Btw, set a personal best today, 435 squat for 4 reps. Not bad for someone who has torn their mcl before.
:slit:
why would anyone want to lift weights

weights are fun
you don't have to lift 38530 pounds to have fun with it, i've only ever stuck to like low amounts of weight myself

I dont lift, i only work out enough to ensure i can carry 130 pounds up a flight of stairs and to my bedroom.

Started back into last week. I learned I have lost a fair amount of lean muscle through my weight loss and it's the major reason for my stabilization of my weight loss.
I can't do much with my arms but I can lift 1100lbs on the incline leg press

1100? or 110? cause 1100 would be ungodly

Worry more about your core. I hate people who think the vast majority of strength comes from their godly 18 inch bicept.

1100 would be godly imo.

I lost so much muscle but I am grateful that i can still lift the same amount! I've spent more time doing yoga and working on my core.

Check the thread in my signature to see where my leg strength comes from. As well I'm not curling 1100lbs . I'm merely lifting 3.5x my old body weight with my legs which is really not that big of a deal.
I don't specifically work my legs I just walk. The routine a trainer has set up for me will focus on everything. Including my core. The rest of me is super weak. Weaker then 3 years ago last time I started at the gym.

Currently I do basic squats with just my body weight. It's Part of my regimen. As per the theme of the thread so far I was simply putting the highest amount of weight I could move with any part of my body in any way.
If you want a laugh I do 30lbs dumbbell press :D

I often meander down to the gymatorium where I take part in pugilism, but occasionally I give the old chicken-wings a good sweat by some repetitions with the dumbbells. Nothing better than a cigarette while doing that, either!

I don't like weight lifters. I'm afraid they'll max heavyweight 1st instead of fissure on behemoth.
