Am I the only one that finds the new treant EXTREMELY WEAK?
Loss of living armor makes him a lot less useful. He still has his invisable that can save allies as they are dieing and wanting to run away, but he cannot buff himself or his allies leading into battle. Losing this skill also makes it tough to keep him in a lane early game.
For the new skill that adds damage when you pick up a tree (sorry I dont know the name), it is nice but it doesn't really help out that much. It would be much more useful if you could some how cast it on allies to boost their attack and not just your own.
Don't get me wrong, I really like the tree-link ability (sorry, again I don't know the name) that gives sight, but this is another skill that it useless when in a fight. and the enchanted trees also tend to stick out because when your curser passes over it, it pops up and says, "PlayerName's enchanted tree" in what every color you happen to be.
His ultimate seems way worse than in DotA, it used to hit almost everyone one the screen, but now it only covers a tiny little spot around him.
So what it all boils down to is a hero that is only useful when his ultimate is ready, and even then it is weak. He can buff his own damage, but his attack speed is weak-sauce. He can see a lot of the map, as long as the other team isn't paying attention enough to destroy the trees he enchants. I was amazed when I played him for the first time, and he was probably the worst hero that I have found.

Treant is basically a walking ult in DotA. Besides that he's pure support. I can't stand Keeper of the Forest, but I loved Treant. He's definitely lackluster, in my eyes, so far.

Living Armor was one of his best skills, the 'i has a tree' ablity has some lane control i guess, but not as useful as Living Armor, also...the 'Eye of the forest' can't see invisible, why? the HP regen that is provides is nice i guess, but again not as useful as seeing invisible, i had no problems with his ultimate, it's still pretty good, and i liked the new nature desguise not providing invisible for a brief time if not near trees. but still...

Maybe give Nature's Vengeance (his use a tree as a club skill) could give him some splash damage?

The main reason he sucks is that Natures vengeance only lasts for like 8 attacks?
Thats just annoying your having to pick up a new branch after every creep wave to keep it fresh.
I would prefer if it was a toggle similar to Troll Warlords, giving him +bonus damage but slower atk speed or there abouts anyhow.
I've yet to play him, and for good reason ><

Try harassing with invis -> hit hero close to trees twice -> run and invis again. It's actually pretty incredible for a melee hero harass.
That said it would be nice if rank 4 vengeance had splash damage or something. It scales really bad, and given that all of his other skills are essentially non-scaling as well, that sucks.

you guys know that the tree vision gives out an aura that gives hp regen right? its not as strong as living armor but it works

The problem I have with Keeper is that he is built for/best used as pure support. Refresher and such with a double ult. His extra damage ability is nice to last hit and all, but the guy is not meant with current items/skill set to be a damage dealer. He can be a tank, but even then he is better to come out of invis and ult while his teammates perform a genocide.
For all those tl'dr: His new damage ability does not have synergy with his other spells. They need to keep his ultimate, and change his other 2 spells or just change his damage spell.

Treant was already a support hero in DotA, since he had no attack spells, but now he is less support than he was before. The idea of the ability is great, but it is almost useless, you have 8 charges, but it is still useless. I would preffer if he would throw the tree at a target, just like Pebble tosses a unit, I mean, it would be more helpful.

I honostly don't see what the big deal is. I played keeper and I love it. i feel that the change from living armor to the ol'd whack em with a tree makes no difference. plus it makes him a lot more of a carry if you think about it; just my input.

i use him all the time. Work with a good damage dealer and you can own a lane. Stand near the trees and go invisible, when enemy walks pass root them and you can kill them no probs. He is the ultimate ambush hero.
Just because he cant stand up to a 1 on 1 hit each other till someone dies doesnt mean he is weak.

I think the idea was to make him more useful once he used his ult (i.e. the synergy was with the ult), but... well, it just doesn't work. It doesn't add splash. He's not a carry, so he certainly shouldn't be trying to build for DPS. It's just a novelty skill.
The only thing going for it is that you get to uproot a tree and swing it around (which, you have to admit, is pretty cool).

Add an extra sub ability that gives similar effects of the Living Armor but requires a branches + its armor + regen given depends on the charges on the branches.
This will give KotF a lot better babysitting and support role.

I agree, it even goes against the role of the hero. The keeper of the forest that chops the forest himself lol
KotF was one of the wrong thing S2 did (long with Jereziah) when porting DotA heroes, he has 3 support skills and 1 "damaging" skill IMO completely useless and pointless. Living armor MUST come back to him
How bad is your team that Keeper becomes your carry?
If you get cleave and farm for 30 mins while other 9 guys are running circles, might be a good carry.

It would be nice if:
The health regeneration from his enchanted trees was doubled across the board.
If clicking the "pickup tree" skill while currently using a tree would allow you to throw it at a targeted location for splash damage.
If the Enchanted Trees would see stealth
If the Enchanted Trees worked as "superior weapons" when picking them up, which would:
Last for more charges than normal trees/ (12, 16, 20, and 24 for each level of enchanted tree)
Provide the passive health regeneration as if you were constantly standing under it.
If the invisibility could be cast on multiple people.
I think improving the synergy of his tree enchantment and his tree wielding capabilities would make him a much more interesting hero. He would be excellent at baby siting a carry, and if left near his enchanted trees, he would have some powerful weapons available. The reuse timer on his tree enchantments, and that he would be removing his sight of the map, would be the cost of having such powerful weapons temporarily :D
