Code of Conduct

The Training Grounds is a forum dedicated to making the new players feel welcome to Heroes of Newerth. We all know the learning curve of this game is very unforgiving and many of the beginners and non-DotA, Defense of the Ancients, players feel shut out by the pros and elite players. So to all of you who are new to Heroes of Newerth we welcome you! Here are a few guidelines I expect all participants to follow.

Respect
Pros:
Everyone was brand new to this game at one point. Some of you were better at the start and some of you weren't. If you've been around since Reign of Chaos or the start of All-Stars you're going to be better than someone brand new.
New Players:
If a pro is attempting to show you how to work a strategy then listen and learn. Ask questions. Always remember that a stupid question is better than a pointless death.
Behave
Forums:
Bad attitudes will not be tolerated here. Pack up your world's smallest violin and go play for another audience. This is a place of learning. This includes insulting other people's builds, strategies, playing style, etc. If you have constructive criticism give it. Otherwise, keep your opinion to yourself.

Games:
If you choose to participate as a mentor/apprentice in the Training Grounds and you grief your partner(s) you will be given a warning. If you continue to grief or purposefully give them bad advice then you will be removed from the program.
